I love to feature new entrepreneurs and when this new, budding swimwear company came to my attention I was so excited. Not just because I absolutely love the beach, water and sand, but because I also love swimwear. This new swimwear company, Sobosol, has a variety of colors and designs that you’d absolutely crave for. They even have selections for men! Check out some of their hot swimwear fashion!
It’s been a long time, but April has been a pretty busy month for me. Between turning 30 🙂 and visiting my Grandma in Florida for her 85th birthday, I’d say it’s been a great month. Visiting and catching up with family is the greatest thing, my niece has grown soooo much and is absolutely the cutest little person on this planet. Over the past month I got to do some of the things I’ve finally been meaning to do for a while like visiting the beach, seeing my grandmother and cousins in FL, visiting this wine bar in Glenwood, and just relaxing and having some fun!
My summer collection will be arriving just in time for Mother’s Day and just to give you a hint of what’s to come, think BOLD and STATEMENT!
So our time has sprung forward and it’s time for us to to spring forward with our spring time fashion. Change out pieces in your wardrobe with lovely pieces from our none other than Etsy Handmade Designers!
Not letting this recession put a damper on my summer fun, a few weekends ago the hubby and I decided to take a trip out to the water park. I’ve always loved water as child for as long as I can remember. It was one of the reasons I looked forward to summer time, just the thrill and excitement of spending endless hours in a pool or at the beach or even a water park.
There is one thing about the summer that I love—water slides. I put on my wonderful two piece bikini (I don’t think I own a one piece) and climbed the wooden steps to this towering tube waterslide. Filled with the same thrill and excitement I felt as a youngster, I took off down the gigantic water of fun. As I came splashing into the pool at the end of the slide, my bikini top came slithering off. Luckily, since I am and avid swimmer I was able to duck under water and re- affix the strings and come up above water without flashing the 150 people in the surrounding area. With all that I think it’s time for me to invest in a cute one pieces swimsuit. Here are some of my picks.
With all the sad news about MJ, one of my childhood icons, I totally bypassed the opportunity share the greatness of my trip to New Orleans. Of course, when I got there my friends and I were bummed about the passing of the great Michael Jackson.
With all of that we decided to hit Bourbon Street and get feel for this culture rich city. Besides for the drunken people roaming the middle of the French Quarters and running into some random bartender who swore up and down she knew me since high school—it was a great venture. I tried beijnets for the first time at Cafe au Monde and they were soooooo delicious.
The French Quarters were filled with so many cute clothing and jewelry boutiques. As we strolled along the quarters it actually reminded me a lot of Paris. Lunch at Muriels was unexplainable—rich and succulent food to die for. My Seafood Gratin was more than just “yummo,” as a friend of mine would say. Lets not even talk about the crawfish—talk about the real Nawlins experience.
The trip seemed so short, so my friends and I agreed that the next trip may need to be extended 2 extra days 🙂
This is a new feature I’m trying out. Since all of the jewelry I create originate from either a feeling or personality with a twist of culture, every week I’m going to feature a new item from my gallery of jewelry pieces and tell the story behind each creation. Here’s the first one, let me know what you think…
I haven’t had a vacation in almost two years. When I mean a vacation…I mean laying on the beach or by poolside, soaking up sun, sipping on a strawberry daiquiri, with the breeze blowing through my curly hair. I call this necklace Cape Coral. The inspiration behind this necklace came from the beach. This jewelry piece represents a carefree yet bold feeling. I think this necklace would accent any dark colored swimwear. Perfect for lounging on the beach to dressing up a summer dress. The color represents the coral reefs of the Caribbean tying in the the blues and greens of the ocean. Now doesn’t this make you want to take a vacation right now….
