It’s been two months since the launching of the handmade jewelry subscription box. July box was the lovely slim gold stacking bangles and the August box were these lightweight silver shimmer dangle earrings. Now it’s September and I’m sure subscribers are going to love this month’s box. There’s still time to subscribe or sign up to our list for updates on our new collections, style tips and other fashionable tidbits.
Growing up with sisters as you can imagine it was all about hair and clothes. Having sisters also meant double the wardrobe options. Now that we’ve gotten older my sisters and I are pretty spread out across the country, so when I visit them I make it my big sisterly duty to raid their closets. You know “take a few things off their hands.” I was able to snag a few things last time we congregated, but I did have my eye on a few other things that wouldn’t fit into my suitcase 🙂 I guess that means I’m probably going to have to buy them myself. Meet my sisters and the stuff I didn’t “fit into my suitcase,” the last time I saw them.
Also, be sure to check out my newly launched handmade jewelry subscription box.
Thank you to all our July jewelry subscribers. Happy to say your box is on the way! We hope you are as excited as we are here at The Pink Locket. If you didn’t get a chance to order your box, there’s still time to subscribe to the August box.
I love the idea of mixing metal jewelry. There’s definitely a way to mix various metals of jewelry so that it looks very chic and distinct. Here are some great ideas and looks on mixing metal jewelry. See more on my “Styling With Jewelry” Pinterest board.

I always wondered who came up with the rule that everything should match. Now I think certain things should, but I also love seeing wonderfully curated objects that pull together for a nicely mismatched look. I decided to share with you some of my favorite mismatched items from across the web. Here are some creative ways to pull off non matching looks.

We all know a few nice pair of flats are closet must haves year round. I usually don’t buy flats that are too expensive for the simple fact that by the following year I need to replace them. However, over the years I have learned that if there is one thing you should invest in it is your shoes and comfort is a must (especially with flats).
On one of my Target trips one day I decided to peruse the shoe section to check out their selection of flat shoes. I was blown away by the selection, then I started trying them on to see how comfortable they were. Now there are two types of shoes I refuse to “wear in” and those are sneakers and flats. I came up with a rating system to rate the ones I loved below:
Brand: Brand’s Name
Cuteness: Scaled 1 through 5. (1 being not very cute and 5 being beyond cuteness)
Comfort: Scaled 1 through 5. (1 being bunion city and 5 being very very comfortable)
Price: Scaled 1 through 5. (1 being not worth the price and 5 being nicely priced)
Overall Score: 3 through 15 (15 being the best bang for your buck)
Hope you find it helpful. Be sure to subscribe to my list for more style tips.
